There is a 76 station in San Jose on Almaden Expwy that sells 100 octane racing fuel for about $5 a gallon. May give it a try sometime. I have AA trackpipes so I dont have to worry about my o2s or cats being damaged. Would anything else be damaged?

Here's a list of my mods on my 97 M3:

    ASC Delete

    JC CAI

    JC Shark Injector

    AA Track Pipes

    UUC Puleys(Installing this weekend)

UUC System U(Still Waiting for it)

Actually I live right off of Capitol Expw and Story. But my car is in Manteca parked in my brothers garage. Its too ghetto over here on the eastside. I bring it on the weekends sometimes. I go to SJSU. Where do you guys meet up on the weekend?

Typically, your computer is calibrated to advance ignition timing to burn a certain octane rating. Lets say 91. If you put 87 Octane in, your knock sensor will tell the computer to retard timing to the point where the knocking stops. If you run 93 octane gas, you will see very little to no advantage because the computer will not advance the timing any more than neccessary for 91 octane.

I'm not sure whether the M3 is calibrated for 91 or 93 octane, but I run 93 since in SC, its only $1.79/gal. This past winter, it was $1.49.

well where exactly in SJ is the 100 Octane Gas cause i will go to the track this wednesday and i would like to try this stuff.

Also i have no O2 Sensor

              Super Sprint Headers

              AA track Pipe

              AA Gen 3 DTM Exhaust

so nothing should go wrong with my car right ? since i have the straight exhaust system ?

Do you have an OBD1 or OBD2 M3?

How the heck did you get the AA track pipe to fit the SS Headers?

Will OBD2 cars not run good with 100 octane? even with track pipes? The 76 station is on Almaden Expwy and Curtner I think. If you exit off of 87 south to Almaden Expw you pass about two or three lights and its on your left.
