shocks: H&R vs Bilstein PSS coilover

Any opinions on H&R coilover shocks vs Bilstein PSS9? How do these compare to Bilstein sport with H&R springs?

they do make bilstein pss9 for the e36 because i have them on my car. i've never been in a car with anything other than stock or my bilsteins so i don't know how they compare. all i do know is that bilstein invented the shock absorber and is the top company in the industry. so my suspension is very good and has outstanding performance. other companies make just as nice suspensions and probably perfrom just as well. i did have to put spacers on the front wheels which isn't really that big of a deal with the package you get. you also relocate the sway bar link which doesn't affect the car in any way.

You can say that, but it does.

Go with Ground Control. Same cost but with more options.

so does the relocation of the sway bar link make it stronger or weaker?

Weaker. Its like you have a 325i suspension design and just PSS9 shocks.

I agree with AMJ, go with Ground Control!

I talked to a guy who replied back from tms... he said that you can just that you have to do a couple other things with the pss9...

The PSS9 kit for the 325/328 will work but you will need to do a few things.

                  1. replace the sway bar links with ones from a 325/328, these attach to the control arm instead of the strut.

                  2. You will most likely have to run at least a 10mm spacer, but sizing of this spacer depends on the wheel and tire you have. This will require some clearance measuring on your part.

                  i think i'd rather get the H&R

i got my h&r coilovers for a good deal, and i'm very happy with it, i guess pss9s are adjustable but how much are u going to adjust it, for daily driving i'm very happy with my h&rs, ground control setup is just not appealing to me, a lot of people will say its good, but i say go with h&rs!

i got them for like $1100 with billet rear shock mounts, and that is the only part that is recomended extra, other than that you should be good to go with just what comes in the set...
