Let's take a poll on brakes:

Who thinks the stock E36 M3 rotors and calipers are good enough for rigorous track use.

rotors and calipers i would say would stay alright, but then your talking brake lines, fluid, pads... id say get the EBC Green or Red stuff for brake pads, depending on what you want to set up

You need lines, fluid, pads and good tires... Anything more and you should be pushing something past 350hp.

they will hold up fine with ducts, race fluid, and race pads. Ask me how i know . EBC pads ****.

Though if you have the money, go for the bbk.

Tell me about your ducting: $$, install time, where to get it, is it homemade?

I'm about to install porterfield pads. I've had metal masters on until now and high temp fluid. The car has been great so far on the track (5 or 6 days) but all those days were below 60 degrees F. How much of an improvement did you get with the ss lines? Did you reduce the fade or just the feel of the pedal?

            Thanks!

SG M3- you are in Texas, so you probably have to deal with heat too. Being in so cal, hot brakes are a problem at the track. What kind of set up are you running? I want to upgrade my brakes as I am looking into forced induction, and want to make sure I can stop it fast before I make it go faster, especially in the heat.

www.bimmerworld.com or http://www.roadracetech.com use their backing plates. I just bought the whole kit.

I don't use SS lines, everyone says there isn't much of an improvement.

I use Cobalt Friction Spec VR pads, amazing pads. I can beat on them all day and no fade.
