The m-coupe comes in two variations: Hatch-back or convert.
The 01 m-coupe has the 315hp engine, but the older ones have the s52 engine.
Honestly, I think the M3 feels tigher than the m-coupe, and I have driven plenty of both.
m-coupe is nice, but kinda small for my likes. Besides, the m3 looks meaner.

m3 is more luxo minded. The M coupe is truly a drivers car, I do not think it even came with ASC. die hard drivers only need apply. IMO it looks way meaner than any m3. Look at those flairs, the car was designed by the guys in the M division aftr hours on their own time. I saw some footage of an interview with a rookie F1 driver that took place in an M coupe, they were flying around a skid pad doing wicked drifts and donuts. As soon as i graduate from grad school it will be my first purchase! The car is just plain bad ass

I love the M Coupes and would like to pick one up with the larger engine. That car is very light and is very very quick. However, practicality sets in and having the rear seats in the M3 is very nice, especially with a kid on the way.
Then again, why can't the Kid be strapped into the hatch?

UGGGGGLY, wouldnt be caught dead driving one of those. Way too feminine for my taste.
The E36 M3 is a badass yet refined piece of machinery, now THAT is a drivers car.
Too feminine because it's shaped like a penis?
I love the car, drove the 315hp one and it's great. Top 10 most exotic cars, somewhere I read that in a car mag.....haha, I can see it in one of those women magz...."Top 10 most erotic cars" :spam:
*EDIT* damn I sounded gay, nonetheless I drove one! And the M-coupe is actually the coupe version, the M-roadster is the convertible.
