Peopel either love or hate the M coupe.

IMO driver's cars do not have rear seats. Unless it is The Mclaren F1.

Why is the suspension dated? This car was designed after the E36. but it was based off of the z3 (a true chic car) so maybe that explains it?

The rear suspention is a carry over from the e30...

M-coupe uses a dated suspention setup.. As for being a drivers car? with its blistering fast steering that is way over boosted... Its far from a drivers car... However its pretty well balanced and has alot of power but at around 31000lbs its not actually all that light.

        Wow, 31,000lbs. That's a pretty heavy car!!

IMO hardcore sports cars aren't in the form of a hatchback

BTW, doesn't the fact that BMW races M3's instead of M Coupe's say something???

                Definitely not a ladies car.

I'd settle for calling it "unique".

                  I agree...you can't call it a ladies car.

But, you can call it ugly, IMO. It's ugly. It's got a face only its mother could love, IMO .

Regarding performance of the M-coupe...I drove one at the BMW Drive Acrosss America a couple years ago. Wicked Fast!!!!! Wow :eek2: . And the brakes....holy ****!!!! I personally thought it handles very well, but it has been a while and I didn't have any other M cars to compare it to at the time.

                  Just my .02,

Wow, that car had a lot of mods on it, especially CF mods.

I just drove an '02 M Roadster at an auto-x recently. 315hp is VERY nice! Also the brakes were MUch better than mine. The only thing I didn't like was the throttle response... My M3 has a much better feel.

Are pieces of carbon fiber glued to your paint really mods, or are they big boy stickers? Sorry to those who glue carbon fiber to their cars, It's just not my scene. That coupe on ebay looks great except for the stickers IMHO... Far from fem. I think...

Glueing CF stuff to your car has no purpose, it actually adds weight. If you replace a panel with CF...that's its purpose.

But in the case of this M, it might not be a mod but it sure is a good idea. They have clear protectors, black ones, and CF as far as I know. Shoot, if they have black ones, might as well go CF to show it off. IMO, i'd get the clear...and new rims for that car....may be light rims but they clash with the car.

The car is definately not something that follows any conventional wisdom

I thought the last time i watched the scca run offs i saw more fast guys in coupes than in threes

I grew up with comaros mustangs supras trans ams corvettes :argue:
