In the mid 80's, a guy I worked with in San Diego was into old muscle cars. He had a 1970-something Plymouth Cuda that was CHERRY. I asked him about insurance and he told me about a company called Wawanesa. They had a big office in San Diego. Anyway, he said they don't use agents, and when he had an issue with his Cuda, they took REALLY good care of him. I called and got a quote for my 85 Pontiac Firebird and have been with them ever since. Now I live in the San Francisco Bay area, am 41 years old and have three cars on my policy. I am paying 820.00 per year for full coverage on my 04 cab with a 500.00 deductible. When I first got my 2000 Lexus RX300, some woman broadsided me at an intersection. She didn't have insurance. Wawanesa had a claims adjuster at my home 2 days later and paid for everything without any issues whatsoever. My rates did not go up and they formally went after the woman who hit me to get her off the road.

I HIGHLY recommend this company for insurance over Allstate, Farmers, etc.

    cheers!

I live in Denver/Boulder CO and am paying $240/month w/ a $1K deductable. I'm 19 and I feel like I'm getting bent over. I'm thinking of getting married w/ kids just to get a discount . Did I say that out loud?

What do you guys think is enough coverage for insurance. I was thinking on maybe removing some coverage from mine just to make it cheaper. Specially for when I get an M. Can you believe they told me it would cost me $292 per month with my current coverage?

Actually think of shopping around for some other insurer, anyone have GIECO?
