245/45/17's on the rear will hinder accelleration... and you'll notice it. The tires are about 2 inches higher... .

You have your facts a little skewed. The Azenis' are 25.7" diameter compared to a Pilot Sport (or nearly any other tire) 245/40/17 which is 24.7" The difference in overall diameter is only 1" which means only 1/2" extra as far as rubbing concerns go.

Yes, that will affect the accuracy of the speedometer... you will be going about 57 or 58 mph when your speedo says 55. But the thread creator didn't ask anything about this...

Yokohama AVS ES100s ... at best, ok tires. They are pretty hard and run loud. Not all that sticky but pretty decent price.

True they're not the world's quietest tire, but they have handled well for me. I use this as my daily driver and my house and office is one stretch of highway though. But you're right, not the world's quietest tire.

What do y'all think about Pirelli's? I was thinking about some P-Zero Rosso Assim's.

I'm actually, having to replace my rears after less then 15k miles. For some reason they wore really unevenly in the center, at 1-2 psi low pressure.

Does any one know of any tires with great tread life with reasonable traction? I don't care about noise. I see no track time and don't race. It is my daily driving and do an equal amount (in time) of highway and city driving and it is usually dry around here. I'm looking for something in the <$150 price range.

A tire store in the area recommended the new Kumho ECSTA tires but I havn't heard much about them. Honestly, I'm diggin the reviews for the Bridgestone Potenza RE750's. Can anyone comment on these?
