I just installed the CDA 9835 two weeks ago an it is awesome! I love the display and the multi - color illumination. Alpine has been making a great product for so long: not the kind of longevity you see often anymore.

I had a negative experience with alpine. Perhaps though it was related to the installer. well there customer service sucked ass to and was rude so call me bitter.



Congrats though and i hope it goes better then i experienced.

This is the 3rd Alpine I've put into a car I own and I've never had a problem. The only reason I never carried one over into another car was because I sold the car as is. I'm sure it had to do with the installer because these things are pretty much bulletproof.

My last headunit shorted out with the sub circuits.. but the rest worked.. I think it was a freak incident.. *shrug* Perhaps something else was wrong I dunno. I love alpine though.

ya mine had dvd nav as well and i guess that added to the complexity for the installer.
