same thing happend to me a few weeks ago....

i just gave it a day or two and everything started to work again, i checked my bentley and it agreed, your radio is mad at you

Sucker just started working on the way home from the stealer. I must have done something to piss off the Bimmer gods. I promise Ill change the oil as soon as my filters come in.

      :chair:

Driving down the highway with the windows down doing about 90 in 4th is way better than any cd. Its the driving in traffic part that sucks.

hey, tim do you have a head unit removal tool? maybe i can take out the headunit and make sure the ground is ok.... that might be causing my sound to crackle and muffled.

Ask John. He offered to give me a hand, so I guess he has the tools.

I read through the Bentley and I thought it said you used an Allen wrench. I could have misread though.

good to hear your radio is ok tim -

yeah, it is just a small allen wrench to pull the radio out (7 or 8mm, I think) - you just open up those little tabs on each side. Loosen the screws (they don't actually come out, just set-screws) and gently pull the whole unit out.

I would say if it is cutting out it is more of a wiring issue with either the head unit signal out, which is speaker-level, or the amp wiring if all of the speakers cut out simultaneously. Maybe a ground wire, too?

The raido tool is almost like an alan wrench, except its 5-sided, not 6-sided.

A really small alan wrench will work though, but be careful.
