No, but I got the tires for $15, so I didn't feel bad burning them.

I am using the AVS-100 and so far i like the tire, But if you have money get the pilot sports, had these before the yoko's and the grip is insane! Just dont last too long>< unlike the yoko's.

if you just want some track tires go with kumo's MX because they give great grip, cheap, but they sorta wear out a little faster. thats why you have them as track tires.

but i am going with t1-s's or maybe MX's after i burn off my tires.

I'm running Yoko's AVS ES100's and I like 'em a lot...long tread-life but with a little less stick. I'm alos a college student so my funds are limited and I can't put new tires on super often. If you don't mind buying rubber more often then I'd spring for the stickier, shorter lived tire.

The F1 GS D3's I have are as good as the S03's IMO and have lasted me ~18K on the rears and I'm at 22K on the fronts with 30-40% left!!! Surprisingly good tread wear...

it is surprising how long they are lasting.. hopefully i can get mine to last 22k or so before i have to buy new ones.. i would like to go and get new rims next time i get new tires.. just about to turn 73K on the car.. argh.. i drive this thing tooooooo much :bugeye:

              Wanna Try the Economical ONE??

I have always been on Dunlop 8080 and 9000sport, and always been Happy.

This time i decided to try the cheap option, just to see.

I found the Hankook Ventus K102 to be the cheapest option at 115$ a tire.mounted, balanced n ready to go.

(cant beleive the price??its all true)(its good for prices in Europe)

I am a skeptic of buying cheap n expecting quality, You do get what you pay for!!!

              BUT REMEMBER

Where i live in Spain its all dry weather most of the year, so i dont have to take WET into too much consideration.

I drive my M3 Daily to work, and i average about 37 Miles a day

I drive it nice n calm some days,, and i race her whenever opportunity arrives.

So being sceptical of the tires i put them on, and the first week is all good, exept for that the hankook garage didnt balance the whells correctly,l so I take her to my fav. garage for just that, and she comes out perfect as always.

(got a few mumbles about the tires, from the balancing guy at the michelin place,,but i pretended to not take any notice).

I am now entering week 5 with the Ventus K102, And heres the dreadful news...........

I still have NO complaints what so ever, they are gripping the road, they are quite, and

and far as i can tell upp till this day, I have made a good buy for the money spent.

BUT i hear ya all say just wait n youll see, they´ll fail on you, cuse they are cheap Sh***T.

Well thats all we can do, wait n see, Ill keep posting about them in here as time, (weeks) roll by, and iLl let you know what happens, But so far I feel I done a Winner buy.

              BS

I am still now nearly 3 months later happy with the hankook,They have even prooved to be ok in rain, maybe a slightly less grip, cant say for sure, as i always anyways drive with care in wet conditions.

ill keep posting later on down the road to see if cheap is always low quality, or if there are less expensive options that do the job good out there.

              So far still going strong

When I bought my car last year it had Ventus K102's. My latest rims have Michelin Pilot Sports and I haven't noticed any difference between these tires(At least that I can tell. I don't push my car in the rain). When it's time for new tires I'll probably go with the Ventus K104's since you can get them for less than $100/tire and they're rated pretty good in the reviews I've seen.

The Falken 451's also look pretty good for the price.

i had some fuzions on the rears when i bought the car, and were new. Needed fronts, checked out these fuzions on tirerack 98$ per tire .

i bought 2 fronts for $220 shipped, and another 25$ to mount. They are renamed bridgestones, as it is bridgestones entry into the sport compact car market. Which is why i think they are priced so low? they are trying to get market share. They seem pretty good in the dry and rain so far, havent lost grip yet (mind you these are shitty roads of San antonio).

Hey if i find out they totally ****, didnt cost me much.

I went from OE Bridgestone RE92's on my '03 Maxima to Toyo Proxes 4, and the difference in grip and handling was phenomenal. Now of course those RE92's would never be considered for purchase by an M3 owner, but now I'm sold on Toyo's. I think when the Hancook Ventus tires that I have on there right now wear out, I'm going to get a set of Toyo Proxes TS-1's.

Toyo Proxes T1-S. Very good in the wet. Excellent in the dry. Very similar tread pattern to the original Pilot Sports.LOUD AS HELL AFTER ABOUT 10K MILES... YES I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I AM YELLING OVER THE TOYO TIRE ROAD NOISE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TIRES.....

Haven't had Falkens on the M, but I went through about 7 sets of Falken tires on my previous cars and they were some of the best tires I've ever driven. At the time Falken was basically unknown and I bought them on the advice of a friend who was involved with the testing of the tires. Great tire at an unreal price.

My $.02 cents on the Falken issue.

I just put a set of Falkens on last friday and they are orsome. They are an R compound Road legal race tyre, and they handle better than pouring boiling water over a cat on nice shag plie carpet.

They are the Falken Azenis RT-215. I'll see if i can sorure a pic for ya. Ive had other R compound tyres on other cars before, but these are prettty good in the wet, and the road noise is fairly low.

Running R compound tyres is one of the best kept secrets. Instant grip boost in a straight line, and corniering is just insane.

I had Toyo FZ4 which were AWESOME. the only reason i didnt buy them again was that tirerack.com doesnt carry Toyo. :chair: I got sumitomo's... they are alright.. They were the closest thing i could find to the Toyos.

I'll end up buying Toyos next time.. more than likely :nixweiss:

wow, these Proxies 4's look awesome... http://toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/sports_car/proxes_4.html#features_benefits

i found them on 1010tires.com, but they don't have them listed for a 235/40/17.. and it looks to be about 180 per tire.
