take the rear seats out if you want to drop some weight. you could probably sell your vadars and get some decent coin and get some lighter racing seats. that would probably be the best way to drop some lbs.

The spare tire in the rear is sometimes best left in for weight distribution. I'm not sure about the M3's, but my 98 GTI VR6 autocrossed much better with the tire in. Most manufacturer's count that in when determining the balance of the car. It helps even the weight out from that big hunk of metal (engine) in the front of our cars...
