pickin up my FIRST m3 TODAY!!!

I'm srue you guys dont really care, but i'm excited to pick this thing up today...My uncle loves his 1995 (i think) 968 porsche. Its tight and quick and handles well. How is my M going to compare to this thing. I know the interior of mine is way nicer, but how about in performance in a straight line, and in the twisties?

Sorry for the lame post, i'm just excited and delirious ( i couldnt sleep at all last night.)

Enjoy the car!! Both cars are probably close in terms of performance. I would think the M3 is a little faster engine wise . It will feel more refined than the 4 cylinder Porsche. 968's are around 240 HP if I remeber correctly.

the E36 M3 is faster in a straight line by about 0.5sec compared to a 968.

stock for stock the M3 will have sportier suspension, which means you will corner more flatly. both are so capable that speed through the corners will be entirely driver dependent.

your car should be somewhat more affordable to repair too

              0-to-60 time or 1/4 mile?

Thanks guys....i am in the process of moving so the M is parked already for a few days. I'll post pics when i get back into town. But, to let you know its a 1999 coupe Estoril/ gray. Completely stock except for B&B exhaust and a front strut brace. 44,000 miles and EXTREMELY nice condition.
