Any of the other guys( not local to Nick) recieve / install their cd43? I should be getting mine soon. Question for anyone to answer. Do we need an antenna adapter? I think it plug n play but I haven't had my radio out since I bought my dice unit a couple of years ago.

I'm very interested in getting one of these. Please let me know if a second order will be placed. I'm in Denver, Colorado.

      Thanks!

2 of the MA guys got theirs in (Kevin and Sergey). You don't need any adapters. Plug and play my friend. The hardest part is taking the wiring harness off your old head unit. After that, everything plugs right in and you're on our way to a nicer sounding stereo with RDS. My DICE unit is on the way, i'm excited to put that baby in.

Welcome to the forums Ryan. We will be making another order for a few units, but I believe they may all be spoken for if the people who showed interest initially still want in.

Maybe some more in the future, but to be honest, this was a lot of work on my end, coordinating with people, emails, paypal, packaging and shipping radios. I actually wound up loosing money due to some optimistic shipping quotes from FedEx. If it happens again, i'll be seeing what I can do to make the process more efficient.

Major props to Nick for putting this all together for everyone and not even turning a profit over on it (in fact, losing money). You're a big help to the community

If I didn't love my Alpine through and through, I'd definitely be interested in one of these....

            bump again...

Nick did this out of love for the E36... he spent his own time/money on this project.

i love the radio... thanks again Nick.

As Nick already stated it is PnP and took me about 3.5 seconds to install. The unit will have you hearing notes from your speakers you have never heard LOL...it is a huge improvement from the stock tape player...if I had to assume the output...stock tape player being about 15w x 4, the new unit would be like 45w x 4...it is extremely different but a BSW upgrade is still in order later on.

ALso an upgrade is the lights at night. my old player (when the lights actually worked) illumnitated fonts where thin, but the new is thicker and looks way better at night.

Nick, has everyone paid up so far?? I feel bad you are actually down money bro, but I overpaid your original quote to me because I knew you were doing a hell of a lot of work...

BUMP if you owe Nick money

lol 15x4... It doesn't have in internal amplifier... That's what the amp in the trunk is for, and you didn't change that did you? You are getting a better signal to the amp, but that's it...

Oh and it's more like a PEAK of 20w/ 10 channels at probably 10% thd...lol

Thanks again for everything Nick, not that I'm asking ANY more from you as you've already been a huge help, but I'm assuming the potential GB for the DICE modules did not pan out?

Thanks for the props guys. But of course, our source in the UK did a good amount of legwork outside of his normal routine to help us out with that. He's a standup guy with great attention to detail and has been great to deal with. When you get your units you'll notice the full color, bound reprint of the instruction manual included with it. That's a nice touch.

The people that wanted their units shipped to them all paid ahead of time and their units have been shipped out (sorry I haven't gotten tracking numbers out to you guys, i've been so busy! But you'll see the units very soon, as I sent them out Friday). The guys that planned on picking their units up did not pre-pay. I fronted the money out of pocket so people wouldn't have to get charged paypal fees.

There are still a few units that have yet to be picked up. If I don't hear from these guys by the end of the week, they'll be offered up to the people that have been patiently waiting for the next batch. As much as I like staring at CD43's on my kitchen counter, they have to go one way or another. :rofl3:

We actually had one unit with a faulty button (which is being dealt with), so i'm fine with one of them not being picked up. It'll leave me with a functional one without having to wait until this one gets replaced.

No problem Steve. I emailed Tom from EAS about the DICE units and was told that he could probably work something out with us. After my initial contact with him I sent a few other messages as reminders, but I haven't received any communication in return.

This was a few weeks back at this point, so i'm assuming we're being blown off. He most likely realizes they're kind of the only game in town for the DICE units. I just bought 2, but elected to go with an eBay seller as opposed to ordering from them (the price was cheaper than EAS too, if you want the seller's link). If a discounted group buy rate isn't possible, i'm fine with that. But I get erked being ignored. Looks like it's every man for themselves on the DICE units. :clueless:

                        Nick,

Nice of you to do this work & sorry to have missed out on this deal but I am glad to know the seller is easy to deal with.

I might order one from him.

How much better is the CD43 than say a very good $250, aftermarket head unit?

                        It sure looks better!
