uuc tranny mounts with enforcers question

has anyone recently installed a set of these? The directions said to put the enforcer cup at the top of the transmission mount. i accidentally put it at the bottom.

The reason why was because the black tranny mount itself has a little pea sized divot in it that goes directly on top of the mounting plate that holds up the transmission. It seems to be divited to stop the tranny mount from spinning while you are tightening the bolts.

Contrary to the picture of the enforcer cup on UUC's site, my enforcer cups had the same pea sized divot in it that the black tranny mount has which led me to believe the enforcer cup's divot was to line up with the tranny mount's divot and was to be installed at the bottom of the tranny mount. The enforcer cup on UUC's site was just a plain cup with no holes/divits in it.

    ???

My question is if you were to install the enforcer cup at the top of the tranny mount, then why else would it have the same divot as the tranny mount uses to stop it from spinning while you tighten the mounting bolts..

here is the picture of the misinstalled tranny mounts. I have not/cant drive the car for 3-5 more weeks as i am diy-ing the crap out of it, so im ok with redoing it if suggested to.

its been several years since I installed mine but i do remember that I made the same mistake you did. I called UUC and they said having the caps on the bottom defeats its purpose and you should reinstall them correctly.

I too noticed the issues you saw, but I put my enforcers at the top. I cant remember all the details, but they mounted up fine.

then why did they have the divot! ?? so confusing.. i have no problem with remounting them, it just doesnt make sense..

Did you guys have any clunking or vibration issues? I did not use an actual torque wrench as the directions state that i should have, you cant fit one on top anyways? Any issues with that anyone?

i thought the same thing when i installed mine.....about the divot that is. i mean installed them with the cup on the top and i hardly get any vibration of any. and i didnt use a torque wrench either, if i remember correctly the torque was pretty low so i just kinda practiced to see how much effort id have to use to reach the torque using a torque wrench and then just did it on the nuts so.....id switch them if i were you when i had the chance but honestly.....having them switched isnt going to hurt anything.

I think the "problem" is UUC uses that enforcer cup on many applications, and I remember reading one that requires the cup to be on the bottom due to fitment issues. Otherwise its more effective when on top....

Sorry. I just don't remember worrying about the Divot. The mounts did introduce some vibration between 3K -4K while decelerating but it's monor and I have lived with it.

They're too tight. Vibrations = too tight. I torqued mine to spec and mine is smooth as can be.....

what did you use to torque it to spec? i had to go by feel since i couldn't get a torque wrench in there.

no perceivable added NVH here too.

I have the black UUC tranny mounts and the accompanying enforcers. I have had mine on for 2+ years with no perceived increase in noise or vibration. They were mounted and torqued according to UUC's instructions. They are definitely worthwhile in addition with improved (aftermarket) motor mounts. Transmission and motor mounts are a must with FI equipped cars and a great addition to NA cars.

how do the UUC enforcers with the black mounts compare to rogues?
