Just watched it. The E36 sounds amazing in the track segment. You can see it understeering like crazy as the Stig pushes it through the corners.

my money on German stigs cousin being Sabine Schmidt (sp) . It was definitely a woman.

I can't imagine what some of you would say if someone had bought that car on this forum. :rofl3:

              Haha - that was great.

Wonder how the US S52 would have faired.... :shifty:

The E36 M3 is really an amazing bang for the buck.

So true. Not surprising for a car that cost 6k USD.

People get pissed on the forums when idiots buy POS cars and then complain that these cars are junk.

I personally cringe when people post up links for cars with questionable histories on shady used car lots.

I can't believe the M3 didnt have overheating issues.

The euro cars have completely different cooling systems. Anybody know the reason for the sh*tty US design?

Great episode... I was beginning to get bored of the "standard" Top Gear episodes, so this was a nice refresh!

It's really a shame, that they had the crashed one. If it wouldn't have been crashed, would probably have been 5-10 seconds faster around the track. It beat its rivals, even that it was crashed :laughhard: Atleast they did bring out the E36.

                      I have a feeling that's why it cost 3990 pounds (=$6030) though ... ?? Under the 5000 pound limit?

Autotrader.co.uk There are many 3.2 E36 EVO M3's for like 3-4000£. They all can't be crashed. What Hammond did wrong, is not to inspect the car before he bought it. :lolhit::lolhit:

                              M3s are driven by imbiciles

The E36 is basically a generation newer than the other two cars. The 190E and Cos each have ~200hp. The E36 used has about 100hp more than that. The E30 M3 would be the performance equivalent to the other two, but they never had four doors and are too expensive for this comparison.

I'm keeping an eye out for this....
