Why is every E36 M3 tested by Top Gear green?

edit: Clarkson's clip wasn't Top Gear. I'd like to see some diversity though.

Vuze is converting it as we speak so I can play it on the PS3 and watch it in full HD on the big screen

Sounds like a great episode though!! :thumbsup2:

I like Clarkson's freak out over the wood. That part is def true. That wood is the nasty crap even in newer bimmers.

Autotrader.co.uk There are many 3.2 E36 EVO M3's for like 3-4000£. They all can't be crashed. What Hammond did wrong, is not to inspect the car before he bought it. :lolhit::lolhit:

Keep in mind they needed a sedan and I'm sure they didn't go out of their way doing a nationwide search. Probably bought the first one they could find in the London Metro area.

cough cough, entertainment value. I'm not saying there wasn't some out of sort on that car... but do you honestly think if it were THAT unsafe that they would have pushed it around a track with the STIG?

I mean, at the end of the day Top Gear is a entertainment show....sooo yeah.... I think the exaggerate things A LOT to keep us entertained.

Good show! I really enjoyed that... I stopped watching top gear a few seasons ago but being able to watch it in HD now, I think I'm going to start downloading the episodes again... very entertaining!

Did Tiff say that F1 engine, 1.5 liters, 4 cylinder, turbocharged could produce 1200 HP? How is that possible?

It's a race engine that gets rebuilt after every event. The engine life is measured in hours not miles...

High output engines typically have lower life expectancies. Ferraris very typically need rebuilds at 50k miles and good luck getting more than 100k miles out of an air cooled Porsche.
