I only see those numbers on straight highway driving. If I get 300 miles before the light clicks on, I'm doing well.

And I am a hand calculating fool... Every tank I check the numbers against the OBC... :shifty:

you should see my excel sheet of every car/bike (except my Suzuki GS500E) i've ever owned here

Way I've always looked at it was that more air = more power but in oreder to keep the engine from running lean more fuel is required. I don't see how one could get better gas mileage without changing the efficiency of the motor to convert pe into ke better.

OBC recalibration cannot fully correct 24lb injectors on an OBD1

21lb injectors can be fully corrected

          I know nothing about OBD2

I would have to get cams if it got me 40mpg :rofl2:

I can get about 400 miles out of a tank in combined. Works out to right around 25mpg. Highway it all depends on your driving style, but 30mpg is possible.

I am only talking about calculated gas mileage with miles travels/gallons used, none of this OBC crap.

Although hand calculation is certainly the most accurate, my OBC is almost always +/- 2% since I adjusted it. :clueless:

The only time it might be any different is if I've used a tank of 87 on a road trip. It might show 26.5 but really be 27... Or whatever...

Since I calibrated it using 93 and doing about 50/50 city/highway driving, I think it gets thrown off a little if I change octane or my driving style. Not sure why, but that's almost always the case...

getting over 300 on a tank is good for me. though i fill early (usually shortly after the light comes on), so i can get about 21 combined, but damn dude, only time i got near 400 was straight highway. as in, roadtrippin, stop at a service center on the highway, fillup and back on the road.

My fuel pump was whining and I filled up with 16.23 gallons (I believe capacity is 16.4) :rofl2:
