I'd like to see them :shifty:
Lookin' good Bobby. :agree: It's stuff like this that shows exactly why the E36 community rules. Nothing like pulling the entire rear end apart for a 2nd time. :rofl3:
Like I said, let me know if you need an extra set of hands with any of this stuff.
:rofl3:
Yeah, just goes to prove the point of do it once, do it right... this whole process is taking a lot longer than I would have expected though, and while it works out fine for me since I don't need the car until Spring, there's no way this would have been possible if this were still my DD.
Come down and help assemble it all in a few weeks if you're free... maybe you can snap some pictures of it all finished and assembled with your awesome camera/photography skills versus my crappy cell phone pictures hahaha

Well, it just goes to show ya...you're never done working on an E36. Ever. :taser:
Yeah, keep me updated man. I'll take a ride down and throw it back together with ya.

:agree: Your car is an exception. It should be called, "The beast formerly known as an E36" :shiftdriv

It got a little slow at work today so I made up a quick spreadsheet of my OEM parts order for tonight...
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu76/bdbello/spreadsheet.jpg
Figured that might help anyone who is considering doing this job themselves.
Also, all of the parts are disassembled, stripped down, and have been bead blasted down to the bare metal. Welding is almost complete on the subframe, and parts should be sent out to powdercoat Monday if all goes as planned. My goal is to have them back midweek, so I have time to assemble the rear wheel bearings etc, and then I'm taking off from work all next weekend to get the car back up and running again. I'll take some pictures tomorrow or Monday when I stop by Ant's shop...

Before you order, MANY of those parts are significantly cheaper through rockauto. The manufacturers are the exact same (Meyle, Febi, URO, etc). I saved a ton of money on the rear end overhaul order I placed last week and that was AFTER i found the cheapest prices between RME, autohaus, pelican and importrp. Just an FYI, you may want to check it out.
The rockauto column hasnt been updated in green but you get the point.

Thanks for the insight. I've used Rockauto for a few things in the past, however they don't carry majority of the bolts/nuts I'm buying, and as for the 4 ball joints (most expensive part back there), I've seen the non-oem stuff fail rather quickly and will only use Lemforders. Unfortunately I already put 4 brand new lemforders in there during my last overhaul, but they were torn while pulling them out to have the RTA's powdercoated. I actually am pretty much redoing every bushing/ball joint that I did only 2 years ago, but oh well... As you can see from the spreadsheet, I'm making sure that I NEVER have to touch anything back there for the rest of my ownership... :thumbsup2:

Amsoil 75w140... /debate
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Where does everybody buy their Amsoil from?
:thumbsup2: Nice work love, the garage cannot wait to get mine setup.
How is that craftsman air compressor holding up ?
Thanks man!! The compressor has been nothing short of awesome compared to what I'm used to, I absolutely love it!
