what wheels for a cosmo coupe?

Im looking at buying wheels for my Cosmo. Been pretty hooked on the black on black look but can't decide between all the choices. I want the bbs look but don't plan on spending more than $1500. should I go with the all black or look for wheels with a polished lip? Curious to see what other Cosmo owners have on their ride. Anyone know of some decently priced, good looking black wheels??

Search on this forum, plenty of pics of the cars and their rims. Ultimately, it's whatever you feel looks good, not what the forum members say because 85% will say stock...

I have Kosei K1's and I like them but will be changing for some Arc-8's soon I think...

PO of my E36 had black wheels on it and I wasn't a fan of the matching color. To each his own though..

Yes, this is the style I had pictured in my mind. Reasonable price too. This is definitely what I'll be getting. Will the 17x9 work all the way around though?

It isn't 2002 anymore, black on black wheels doesn't look good.

You asked for opinions. Be of good cheer and do what you want. Just don't expect people to rave about your choices.

Well, I'm pretty sure the color of your wheels has nothing to do with their function, sooooooooo....... :clueless:

Black on black rarely looks good, but here's a good example...

Black wheels almost never look good, and almost always look awful. Especially a BBS style design.

Gold with polished lip may be acceptable. Silver with a polished lip. Or, all silver. I'd stick with one of those things. The wheels should compliment the car, not disappear into the shadows.

BBS RX, ARC8, LM reps, CSL reps (VMR or Sportline). Those are all tried and true mesh wheel designs that look good on the E36.

I will be rocking these on my cosmos coupe once they are redone:
