also of note. i'm 5'7 and it works for me. i spaced up the rear of the floor mounts with a few thick washers but other than that i've been pleased. But you wont be able to safely use a harness with the recaro speeds, the shoulder holes are way too low, that's why i went with the SPG's.I was going to do the same thing with one of my Porsches, and then a guy who builds roll bars chimed in and told me washers was a bad idea.
by using washers as spacers you are putting more lateral stress on the bolt. visualize lug bolts, and spacers. Why are they bolted to the hub after a certain thickness? the longer we make the bolt, the more lateral stress. Perhaps not the best description, but you get the idea. Remember a chain is only as strong as its the weakest link.
OP, I had a set of SRDs in my M3. My wife doesn't like to sit low when she drives. The system I used that worked where I fit with a helmet was the height adjustable Recaro tracks mounted to VAC mounts. I still have the setup in my garage. If interested, PM me. I'm 5'10 and fit with a helmet, and my buddy who is taller also fit with his helmet.
I went through thousands of build sheets... don't recall ever seeing the word "dove". Honestly, I'm a bit curious as to where the term came from. Was it used in a sales brochure? Have pic/link?
Wedge is affordable. However for some reason they push the driver seat a full inch to the left. If you went that route have them make them an inch to the right. You would use recaro slider. The billet mounts that are side to side adjustable would be better if you have the budget.

Are you serious or just a troll the worst troll we've had in a while?

Honestly, I thought BMW called the color "light gray" or something like that. I don't recall seeing "dove" on Real OEM, anyway. :clueless:
Edit: Real OEM shows it as "grau". And I know (as does MMMGP, I'm sure) that everyone calls it "dove gray", but I've always thought it was like the term "vader"-- a nickname given to it by the community, in this case to differentiate from the other gray seats offered.
