Reset flash counter MSS50 and MSS50.1

    Hi,

I develop a new MSS50 and MSS50.1 program and a Python script to reset the flash counters of these dme via OBD. Il also allows to write the ISN and the AIF of an another dme to do a perfect clone. This program doesn’t interfere with the normal operation of the original program. It can be written with Chipster (.bin) or WinKFP (.0pa).

Don’t know yet what I will do with them. The program is finished and released but the script is just a prototype.

I think I have hit my limit on my MSS50.1. Do you have any guidance to get me back on the dyno?

Remaining flashes depend on your flash tool but no worry you still have lots of flashes

So in order to reset the flash count would I have to change the 00’s back to FF’s ??

That question would be directed to user MpowerE36. Thanks in advance !

Do you plan to write via obd, bdm or eeprom programmer ?

When i need to reset, flash the edited full bin read through mss5x flasher through 20pin.

My car is OBD1 1997 so OBD2 does not work because no CAN pins or pin 17 in my 20 pin connector

Even if you modify your full binary, tool like mss5x flasher doesn't re-write this sector of the memory. You need a special tool like mine to do it.
