Avin Avant 4 Screen Dimming

Can anyone tell me how to get this piece of crap to dim? Ive searched and people keep saying there is an app that will help but never give a name or any more info. The dimmer settings on the unit do absolutely nothing and its not very safe. Or if the screen can be turned off temporarily for night driving, ill go that route as well

I won't be near my car to check till tomorrow night, but I just went to the Google app store and googled "dimmer" I think I picked the first result or the one with the highest ratings and it works well. I will say it's rather annoying to have to back out of android auto at night in order to access the dimmer button from the home app screen. If no one else chimes in I'll get a picture of the app.

You can assign the right knob button as the screen shutoff.
