    Fwiw, I always use Elring gasket. No RTV. And never have issues.

        Oem no sealant never had any issues๐Ÿ‘ plus it can be reused twice, 8 years ago I used Elring started to leak soon after switched and never looked back.

        Oe = viton ๐Ÿ‘
        Aftermarket = buena ๐Ÿ‘Ž

          I've also never used any sealant. I've probably replaced hundreds of valve cover gaskets now and I've never seen one leak without the sealant.

            I used Elring with small dabs of hondabond where vanos meets and never had any issues in the last 2 years.

              This just reminded I found rtv from the PO. That probably explains the leaks I was finding.

              I was wondering wtf this stuff was here for.
              2003.5 Titanium Silver / Black 6M/T (Gone)
