    Repairing Headlight Lens Tabs?

Has anyone had any success repairing headlight lens tabs? I broke a couple of mine a while back and while even on rainy days, no water gets in, it still bothers me. Other than doing some time of ghetto plastic welding, I was considering maybe buying a cheapo coupe headlight on ebay and switching the black housing out, but I'm not quite sure what particularities I'd need to watch out for. For instance, will only housings from certain years work with mine (2002). Should the donor headlight also be a xenon, or can I get away with a halogen?

I tried to repair a headlight with a mix of plastic welding and about 4 different epoxies. Nothing worked perfectly, but it didnt leak. However, i ultimately replaced the whole assembly because it never truly had the same strength as new. If one of the mount tabs hadnt been broken, i probably could have made it work
