    Oil pickup tube scored

Hi all, while replacing the rodbearings on my M3, I noticed that the oil pickup tube and the chain were too close. The chain is rubbing to the oil pick up tube and has scored it a little. Any help would be appreciated Click image for larger version

Check your tensioner and chain guide

It's normal. For some reason almost all these engines do that, even with new chain and tensioner it'll still hit. Don't worry about it just double check nothing is loose

Chain always bouncing around a bit as rpm changing, and so this is normal. If the tensioner is working then chain won't cut into the tube deeper.

          It's a feature, not a bug

As above, normal. Annoying, but normal.
