    Lightweight flywheel with SMG

When ordering standard maintenance parts that I figured I'll throw on my new engine, I decided to just upgrade the flywheel with the JB Racing 10.9lb flywheel. I didn't even think about how it will affect the software. Clutch and pressure plate are just the OEM LUK kit.

Who happens to have experience with this? Did you use a tuner or do it yourself?

I'd like to know as well. There are a lot of conflicting info floating around, so looking for first hand experience and how the lighter flywheel can negatively affect gear changes and rev matching, particularly when running the CSL software.

VAC's SMG specific flywheel stands at 18.5lbs:

Burkhart Engineering's CSL compatible flywheel stands at 12lbs (5.5 Kg):

Yeah I have some people say it's fine and it adapts then others who say it sucks and don't do it. The flywheel will be here in two days so I'm going to find out the hard way I guess.

My first real pilot! It's scary. I'm off work for a week and school has been moved to online so I've got nothing but time

Not SMG specific, but I feel like I see so many used JB flywheels for our cars for sale form people saying, "nothing wrong just going back to stock" and I wonder why?
Anecdotal of course, but I've definitely seen 4-5 for sale this summer.
