I had called my shop and they had a car on the lift with MCS. It had a turner front sway so the 10" was based on that.
I have Hotchkiss front sway. We agreed that there shouldn't be a difference in the design of the front sway to impact the length of the endlink. What matters is where the coilover places their endlink connection.
My current KW V2 are 7" center to center. SPL let me order just the middle piece which saved me from having to drop $ on all new links.
With the SPL, my range is about 9.75 to 11.
Hope this helps.
Ya I knew KW were super short and that's why people buy the MOOG links.
Someone else on IG said 10" so that's what i'll go with. Sounds about right as stock is 11" I believe.
10in = 254mm so the links that have the adjustment range of 235-260 (seems common) or so should be perfect.
i think that was actually my neighbor. he texted me yesterday and asked me the same question..."someone on IG is asking". he knew i had just gone through this.
what links are you going with? SPL is pricey but really good. when i called up them they said most of the cost is on the end pieces so it made more sense for me to just buy the center piece and resuse the ends that i was using on the KW V2.

Ah damn, so only one point of confirmation, not 2
I did find Vorshlag says to use whiteline 235-250mm links for E46 with MCS, so the 9.5"-10" sounds right.
I'm looking at whiteline for about $110 or the cheap Godspeed ones for $60 that get great reviews, but who knows. The whiteline ones at least tell you that the ball joint is teflon lined. All others seem really expensive. Who's gonna spend over $200 on endlinks? Ball joint technology has been around like 100 years.
hi. me. SPL is like $250. the technology is the same. i bought them more for the durability. they're pretty strong. i haven't had one go bad, but i'm also getting into tracking so i figured it'd be good to get something durable. not to say whiteline or moog are bad, i just went with it and the shop i work with likes to use them. but yes, it's crazy.
just an observation....when i look up KLC-106, whiteline australia says it's 230mm-255mm. 255 is 10.03".
the vorshag store says that KLC-140 is for the e46 m3 (MCS) with the range of 235-260mm
i could be wrong.
Per Whiteline AU website, KLC106 (meant for mini cooper) and universal KLC140-235 are BOTH 235-255 (I've seen 230-255/235-255 & 235-260 mentioned) with M10 studs/nuts (correct for BMW)
So even if it's 230-255 vs 235-260, I don't see much difference. Sounds like I'm gonna end up at about 250-255 or so. Most important is that the stud is m10.

cool. was just checking.
who is doing your MCS setup? my shop is setting me up with their "base" setup and then i have to work with them as i track it with feedback so they can tweak accordingly. or you understand it enough to adjust yourself.
