Dent in carbon fiber roof

So, anyone have experience fixing a dented carbon roof. Apparently some social media douche nozzle looking for likes decided to pose on the roof for a photo and left a nice smooth basket ball sized dent atop it. I’m just as surprised as you are that carbon can dent. Anyone ever try to get something like this fixed or was it a remove and replace situation. To me it looks like you might be able to pull it with some heat and toilet plunger. Asking for a friend.

I would call up and ask an experienced PDR place or body shop. It might be difficult as carbon can crack, but with some heat and finessing you might just get lucky.

I’m surprised it dented. Carbon fiber should have cracked before getting dented with how rigid it is.

anyway if yours was able to dent it should be able to be straightened. Call a good pdr guy.

+1 on this. It would be a super easy small claims case your friend could represent himself in. Likely cause of action (depending on your state) is conversion. All you need to prove is that he purposefully damaged your car and the amount of the damages. Have a shop fix it and get a receipt. Show the court the receipt and the picture of him on the roof. You'll get a judgment against him and if he's smart, he'll pay up and if not, the sheriff can attach the judgment to his bank account or garnish his wages.
