    Aux Fan Issues

It's just warmed up here in Toronto, and when I went to turn on the AC for the first time this season - hot air only. I discovered that the auxillary fan does not come on when i turn on the AC (which I believe is necessary), so this seems to be the first point of investigation. When I start the car, my understanding is that the aux fan is supposed to come on, but it doesn't. However, the fan still works, because if I unplug the fan from the fan switch located in the radiator hose and start the car, the fan comes on. I replaced the fan switch about a year ago after i developed a small leak in the surrounding gasket, so it seems unlikely that is the culprit. I don't think this car has a relay, so I am at a bit of a loss as to what to look at next. I'd like to chase this down before taking it to a shop to do a dye test for refrigerant leaks in the system.

    Any input much appreciated. Thanks.

No fan switch -- it is the temp sensor on the lower hose.

It seems your AC maybe low Freon. Use INPA to read the AC freon pressure.

      +1
I think you can also use INPA to check if the aux fan is working.
