Muffler hangers - Rogue Engineering vs Revshift vs stock

Hey guys, I was wondering if I can get some opinions on the Rogue Engineering muffler hangers? Any downside to these I should know about? Curious about fitment, ease of adjustability, and how much movement and flexibility they allow vs the stock hangers. Basically I need to replace my hangers and hardware and I'm just wondering if there's a viable solution that costs a little less.

edit: alternatively, thoughts on this kit? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...18201401797kt1

I recently installed a new SS Sport muffler with some RE hangers replacing the old stock ones. I definitely did have some fitment issues on the drivers side, particularly the front of the two hangers closest to the wheel well. Basically, I needed to push the muffler further back to fully mate with sec. 2 pipes, however the RE hanger was colliding with the wheel well and blocking me from doing so. I ended up sourcing a new OEM hanger and reusing the best condition OEM one that came off the car for the drivers side, and used one of my RE hangers on the passengers side which worked great. Probably could have gotten away with using one of the RE hangers on the rear driver spot, but didn't want to drop the exhaust again.

YMMV depending on the muffler I suppose. They do provide both lateral and vertical adjustability (with optional spacers) although there isn't much lateral room to work with on the drivers side given how they designed them. I now have two RE hangers up for sale on the forum.

*edit: added pic of fitment issue. I have fully stock exhaust setup aside from SS Sport sec. 3

I have Dixis hanging off the Rogue hangers, and it only requires 1 on the driver side compared to the usual 2, so I can't say if there would be any fitment issues had I had to go with the full set of 3 total, but of the 2 that I have (one on each side), they've been great and having the additional spacers is nice so you can adjust how much of the tips hang from the bumper cutout.

Good info, thanks. I'm sure there's variation between setups, not most of which can be predicted.

That brings up a very good point, the exhaust I have ready to go on there (older AFE model) has only two mounting points, and I believe it is the aft mount on the driver side? So the mount running into the wheel well wouldn't be an issue from what I see unless I'm missing something.

I went with stock hangers and then filled the cavities with a tube of silicone caulk. I think the FCP option is a great idea.

I bought the revshift kit from FCP to keep my SCZA from banging into the evap canister but found that the inserts are too large up top to sandwich into the metal pieces and thus you must bend the metal pieces up for the revshift polys to go in. Great idea, just didn't work out for me at least.

Also, the revshift inserts didn't end up lining up for me but my aftermarket muffler may be the issue. I cut up one of the 3 revshift inserts in an attempt to make something positive happen but I ended up buying a single RE mount for the passenger side and that stiffened the muffler up well enough.

I'll sell the remaining two revshift inserts if you want to give them a try.

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to get two of the Rogue Engineering mounts and try that. Looks to me like my exhaust only has one hanger on the driver's side and it's the aft, not next to the wheel well.
