Other than numerous cars, trucks and motorcycles crossing way over the lines in the blind turns coming the other way - and lots of yahoos vastly over-estimating their driving skills - not that dangerous.

The Dragon is great. A lot of enthusiasts. You can drive fast or tour it. Lots of nice roads in the area

Definitely worth exploring. If you can go, this is absolutely worth the experience.

I usually run the Dragon early or later, to many people during the day. The area is amazing.

This is my "detour" to last Dragon event. Hiking, wineries, breweries, twisty roads, etc.

I never understand why people would want to drive fast in a convoy. Does seem like asking for trouble. The real fun would be getting out there at 5 am before anyone is on the road.

Reminds me of when I see all the bikers together..doesn't that defeat the whole freedom aspect of riding?

Agree 100%, more vehicles closer together seems worse in every conceivable way.

Agreed the best way to hit the Dragon is in a small group, outside of peak season. But I could see it being fun with a large convoy for the low-speed rollers alone. The good news is if the group is large enough, nobody will be going fast enough to really get hurt.
