Where are you seeing those prices? On TR right now, using 235/19 and 265/19 sizes the prices are: PSS $1,334 PS4 $1,262 CCS $1,246 That must be some discount. Continental has jacked up its price to Michelin levels.
Discount Tire Direct usually has a sale once a year for $100 off $400 and with the Conti rebate, it's around half that cost for a set in those sizes. Best to get them ahead of time and store them in the garage. If buying during non-sale/retail, Costco usually has good prices on Michelins.
