Bucket seats install - occupancy sensor

I'm going to install a bucket seats to my M3 and I think to use the OEM belt pre-tensioner. As far as I understand, the only issue that I could have in that setup is with the passenger seat occupancy sensor. What's the better option - to code it out or to purchase occupancy sensor bypass module? Is there any difference for the proper work of the airbag module in case of accident? For me the easiest option is just to code it out but I'm not sure how that would affect the operation of the airbag module.

    Thanks

I run a occupancy sensor bypass
    Cheaper then coding it out
Unless you can DIY or have a buddy

Are you planning to use a harness ?
If so I would disable the airbag with use of a harness.

I was under the impression that coding it out would give the same effect as running a module, but I could be wrong. I'd go for the cheat module as I doubt it's very expensive.

I'm going to install Cobra Nogaros Street, so I won't use a harness. I can code it out by myself but I'm just wondering if this will affect the airbags opening in case of accident

Airbag still functions with the occupancy sensor coded off and unplugged. The downside is that it always goes off, if you have a passenger or not-- so crashes become a bit more expensive.

This is also true if you go the module route, so I see no reason to go the module route. More weight, more expense, more to fail.

Thanks a lot! I will code it off then.

I went the module route as I swap from buckets to factory seats. That way I can just plug the factory seat back in and not worry about coding. I wouldnt worry about weight of the modules. They are very light!
