Ya, I had magnaflows for a little while. They barely cleaned up the smell. I wouldn't expect them to pass a sniffer test. If it's just an OBD2 test, you'll be fine.

I ended up ordering the Fabspeed catted section one. Same HJS cats, and I already have Fabpseed headers that looked and fit great. Looking forward to seeing if there's any difference in smell, performance, or noise than the cheap Magnaflow high flows that are in place now.

Man you splurged! I love my fabspeed headers too, but couldn't pull the trigger on the catted sect 1. You're going to be very happy though!

Yeah I’ve been on the fence about it for a while… but on one hand I already spent the money and time doing the headers, tune, and intake— and on the other my car is a vert and I frequently have my two little kids in the back with the top down. So I want to control the fumes and not want to take away too much from the other power mods. I just kept feeling like there was a good chance the magnaflows were holding back both of those considerations (kids/odor and power) to an extent that a premium purchase was the only option. I wanted to fab something in place of existing but just came away feeling every other option was a compromise. Wish I could get the HJS cats stand alone, instead of ordering cores from Europe or whatever. Fabspeed wouldn’t play ball when I asked for them with out pipes… oh well, it’ll be fun getting a nice new piece of hardware on my doorstep!
