    Really Low Clutch Engagement

    What’s up everyone
I’m scratching my head on this one

A few months ago I was doing a track day at Pocono raceway. My shifter bushing clip decided to let go (thats the white ring that goes around the pivot ball)

So i had to make sure the shifter was down every time I went for a gear.

Pulling into the pits I noticed my clutch engagement was much much lower then before. But still engages and disengages gears, no grinding

My guess was I over boiled the fluid in the clutch line at that time.

This weekend I bled the slave cylinder a few times
    No change

Does anyone have any input before I decided to change everything

I’m not sure how these self adjusting clutches work

    Thank you

I cannot tell if its a bleeding issue. But my input would be to fully bleed, I found it took unbolting the slave cylinder and tilt so bleed nipple is facing up to evacuate all air. A few taps helps, too. Worth a shot before tearing into other items.

Brake fluid might boiled near the hot caliper, but I just don't see how this can happen to a clutch system.

Re lower clutch disengagement position, do you feel the pedal having a longer free travel at the top before feeling more resistance (when TOB pushing the PP)?

Nope it’s feels the same expect the bite point of the clutch
        Super weird

I will try a new slave and power bleed
        Easiest option for now

I replaced slave cylinder knowingly it would change my issue
But just to have a piece of mind I did

My best guess is when I drop the tranny down
          There will be something bent

also the clutch line may have internally ruptured causing it to flex way too much. That happened on my s54 mcoupe. Made the clutch engagement really terrible
