Also isn't the CSL front wheel offset +44 versus +47 for the ZCP so the combined effect of 1/2" larger wheel width(divide by 2) plus 3 additional millimeters gained from offset difference pushes the outer lip edge almost an additional 3/8" when compared to the ZCP wheel. Of course fitting wider size tires on the ZCP wheels can nullify this delta.

    CSL's just look good.

    17s ftw.

If you're seeking out performance, neither is a good choice. Get something 17 to 18" and light.

Forgot to answer your last question. Advantage of csl over zcp is slightly more front grip.

It's obviously personal preference, but I think a well-sized 18" wheel and tire package looks better on our cars. I'll make one exception to that though, CSL/ZCP wheels look fantastic!

Yes, fronts are .5" wider. Construction is the same. Weight diff is negligible.

Ironically (ironic because zcp fronts are narrower and 245 is wider than 235), most people run 245/275 with ZCP wheels, though I would say most ppl with CSL wheels do run 235/265.

Nether wheelset should be in the same sentence as "performance" being 19" imo. I'll actually be taking mine (csls) off due to the performance loss after moving from 20lb 18" wheels of the same width. The car got slower.

ZCP vs CSL Wheel and Performance

    Hi all,

Driving an 06 ZCP and wheels have been thrashed as a daily. I was thinking of buying a set of CSL's (if they ever come back to production) to replace my comp wheels or just have the comp wheels refinished. This led me to a thought:

What is the actual difference between these 2 wheel sets. I know the front's on the CSL's are half an inch wider but the rears are the same. Is the metallugical compound any different? The weight of the CSL's should be heavier considering the extra half inch of metal on the fronts right?

I see people installing the 235/265 CSL Tire combo on ZCP wheels. Is there any preformance/weight benefit of going with CSLs?

    Thanks!
Working...
