Should I clear adaptations after VANOS work?

I am in the middle of rebuilding my VANOS with Beisan seals and pump disk and I was wondering if I should clear adaptations before I restart the engine. This is purely preventative so I had no codes or issue before I took it apart.

May as well unless you've got a smog test around the corner and your monitors are all green now.

I idled mine for a few minutes after VANOS work. I had no codes or lights. The car fired up and idled rock solid even after sitting for a few months during winter. I reset adaptations when I started driving for the year for good measure. 400 miles in and no codes stored the car feels great!
