Problem with that is, you only know how it sounds with those particular headers, sect 1, sect 2
Airbox also slightly changes the sound
But that's still a cool thing to do.

In the drive around video he did say he might just buy every exhaust he can get his hands on and do a comparison. I can say I'm down for that video at least lol

Oh geez Iโm never going to be able to hear someoneโs stock M3 and not hear a kazoo now. ๐คฃOriginally posted by tnord View PostI prefer to compare it to a kazoo.

Not to tell people how to mod but my opinion is change the cpi's for ssv1's. I felt a very noticeable difference making that switch.Originally posted by BMWahba View Post
Yeah, actually probably spot on. I have two H-pipes going with my CPI section 1.
But, Hassan said it's making some good power likely due to that. So I'm less inclined to change it up just yet.

Nah, definitely not. I embrace the rasp, the car sounds amazing from the outside especially. Driving around town under 3k RPM, not the best thing in the world but that's not a surprise.Originally posted by jet_dogg View Post
Are you having second thoughts about your current setup now because of Matt's comments?

Nice, I always wondered about that. Good to know.
Now, do I have the weldor add an H crossover to my SS v1 sect 1 pipes when I have cats put in? Hmmm
Especially if I want to play around with an SS X pipe sect 2.

Tbonem3 At the mentioned time marks, that V12 buzzing from the "lower" rpms rising up to the 17k max i swear has an uncanny resemblance to ours.
But of course once that ferrari reaches the upper end of its rev range it just sings on another lvlLast edited by yhp2009; 08-13-2021, 10:23 AM.

If you open our exh up with catless headers/airbox, and remove resonator(s), AND go over 8k RPM, you can hear the upshifts "pop" through the exhaust just like that v12Originally posted by yhp2009 View Post
Check out the 0:39 and 1:33 mark actually sounds very similar to ours ๐

FYI, it's the H pipe in Sect 2 people are probably not liking.
The 2.5" supersprint dual pipe's larger diameter seems to mask it. Unres, there's too much drone, so get resonated.
It still will sound like ass, but the power is good.
So far, people have only been willing to admit to me that it sounds like ass in PMs/DMs. You know how it goes. No one's allowed to criticize a new product from a "trusted manufacturer." Looking at you covid vax
The best sounding sect 2 is the SGT x pipe, but it fits HORRIBLY and having SGT parts might make you feel ill. At least you can find them used and avoid dealing with Mike.
SS x pipe also sounds good. A guy in the know told me unres actually sounds better than res. if worried about drone, make sure you have res or cats in sect 1 and a muffler with at least SOME packing.Last edited by Tbonem3; 08-13-2021, 08:31 AM.
