On a quick side note, I am considering switching from my SCZA to a Rouge El Diablo as I would like just a bit more volume, are the Diablo's noticeably louder than the SCZA's?

Also, to pile on I ordered my SCZA about 6 months after getting my M3, it was my first modification and I was extremely excited, I did do some reading, but not enough, in fact I almost ordered sgt exhaust components front to back (wow).

When I ordered they were "in stock" per emails and calls with sgt, after about 3 weeks I called and they said it should be on the way but couldn't provide any tracking info.
I waited another week and a half and called back, they said for some reason my order was not put into the computer, whoops, and I would have to wait for the next batch to come in as all the mufflers were now gone.

I got the muffler about 3 & 1/2 months after the date of my order after, one hanger was bent all to hell with no damage to the box.

Also, the tips were the same diameter as the muffler pipes so I had a local muffler shop open the tips up so they would slide on the muffler. Mike offered to reimburse me for that, and he did, I'll give him that.

He told me the place the makes the mufflers was a different place that makes the tips as if that was any great reason as to why they didn't fit. I received the tips separately about a month before the muffler came so at least I had those to look at and imagine them on my vehicle.

Long story short, beware of sgt and if you order stay on top of them, no need to be a dick or anything just make it a point to call regularly for updates. They seem to have a knack for loosing orders and missing ship dates etc. so you MUST advocate for yourself when dealing with this company because they sure as shit won't do much for you.

Unfortunate because the SCZA is a nice piece.

As much as I love my scza exhaust, I’d avoid them at all costs. Go find a used one.

The megan supremo is the SGT v1 exhaust (not scza).

The scza is a copy of the original Canadian Oakville Motorsports SCORZA

The only real difference between different exhausts on an NA car is just sound really. Build quality and weight play a factor as well.

They didn't say it exactly like that. They were nice enough to give me the measurements (1/4x20 3/8 length for those that serach this later) and told me it would be faster that way. However I've never seen a business post videos of a product they have in stock while someone is sitting in limbo waiting for an update on the product they are showcasing.

I think the SCZA checks too many boxes not to try out for me. I do have a hunch that the pre 2018 models of SCZA are higher quality as there was a post from Status Gruppe that said they started using a new manufacturing process to meet the demand. Since then I've seen complaints that the exhaust isn't as loud as YouTube videos and it takes 1k+ miles to "break in" , which I read is a sign of cheap inner insulation being used.

Be sure to ask about what size/style tips are expected in. Instagram is definitely the way to stay in touch and keep tabs. I watched them post up a video of sczas they got in stock without any updates to my order. I messaged them about the 76 mm double walled I had ordered and they said that would be another 2 &1/2 months. I quickly said I'd take the 83mm tips and it sent out a couple days later.

Good luck, and may the force be with you.

I would also check with Ben from Rogue Engineering. They make a really nice sounding exhaust.
