CSL-like brake upgrade kit for an M3

Working on the CSL conversion project, and time came to decide on the brakes. I see that it is easy to get the front as a full kit, but unable to find an easy answer for the rears.

I have seen the yellow “BMW Performance” upgrade kit (from a 135i ??), but couldn’t find a matching color rear set.

What options do I have where I can get a matching front and rear set? I believe the specs for them are 345/28 for the fronts and 328/20 for the rears. I am not very interested in the “BIG break kits” that would require modifications.

The difference in the rear CSL/ZCP is a larger piston, same rotors. Fronts are larger rotors, so bigger carrier, but same calipers.

I wouldn't really call it a brake upgrade. The 345mm front rotor and having both rotors be floating/drilled looks better.

The best part might be the euro pad formula, which you could simply put into your regular m3 brakes. Get some ATE type200 fluid or better and maybe some solid brass guides (if you're willing to clean them or don't drive a ton) and you're good. Higher temp stuff if tracking/autoX, and stick with blanks, not drilled IMO.

Obioban has some helpful comments on those yellow BMW performance kits if you do a quick search. The so-what is stay away.

The BMW performance brakes are junk in general (pistons crack when they get hot), and they are the not a good bias match to our chassis.

        Avoid.

As stated the rear calipers have a larger piston than standard stock M3.
The calipers on the CSL are also powder coated black (in addition to the other changes listed earlier).

I have an extra set of Genuine BMW CSL brake pads on shelf I might sell if you can’t get them.
