    Tach LED Sweeping

I have seen on Youtube that several M3's Tach LED's start to sweep backwards when you approach redline. Is this on certain models? or is it something you can code in using INPA?

Shift lights were activated from the factory on SMG cars. They can be coded to function on 6MT cars.

You can do it yourself with a K+DCAN cable and the tool from ECUWorx

I know you all are M3 owners and may not have the answer to this question: but does anyone know how to program the LED warm up and shift lights for an M3 cluster that has been swapped into a ZHP? I have this in my M3 and have already had the VIN/tamper dot/a few other things programmed but the big two I would like to get done is the aforementioned items.

i think you'd need an S54 DME for that

Terra programmed it to work in a ZHP years ago (as evidence by a YouTube video on his page), but, he is MIA due to residency (doctor). many'a'people have told me its possible to do but in my research so far I haven't been able to find any single person/business to be able to do this. I sent a message on IG and an email to ECUworx and never heard anything back from them

I don't have ECUworx, does anyone know if it can be done in INPA?

How about you just shift when it feels right

Not only that, but even after owning this car for umpteen years, I still find myself occasionally banging off the limiter in 1st unless I'm staring straight at the tach and not the road. Peak power and fuel cut is the blink of an eye. I'd love to have this.

You know, I’ve always been curious as to why the engine doesn’t bang off the rev limiter and instead performs fuel cut. Hate it when I forget to shift before 8k and I buck forward because of fuel cut.

I was using the two "limiters" in the same vein, I shouldn't have. We don't have a rev limiter to bang off of (like my old Prelude did), ours is indeed a fuel cut. And yes, it sucks when you reach it. Kinda like DSC cutting in when you least want it...
