So we decided to change out the thermostat, apparently the owner prior had the bright idea of using silicone or some type of universal gasket material on the thermostat housing and the tube behind it. Got a good laugh and wanted to share, people amaze me sometimes.

I turned the crank w/timing tool in place breaking pin in 1/2, down to the pan it went after breaking one of the plastic oil grates on the head. Luckily a bendy magnet pulled the whole broken piece out. Oh man...
