Windshield Washer Pump wiring

So the previous/original owner decided to do the washer reservoir delete but at the same time cut the wires out completely. I recently decided to give my car some refreshing and ordered a universal washer fluid res but can't for the life of me find a straight answer to which wire is for what. All I know is that brown = ground.

TL;DR, Which wires are for what in this pic of the washer fluid pump harness?

On a 2004.
Brown/Green goes from the instrument cluster to the washer fluid level switch, and then a Brown to ground.
Black goes from thr GM module to the pump motor, then Brown to ground.

In this case, even if the two wires were connected with wrong polarity the pump still shoot out water, regardless which direction it's spinning.
