MPH +5 warning with a beep after Avon Avant 4 install

I recently installed an Avin Avant 4 head unit with I-BUS integration. After the install, I started seeing some new behavior that I am wondering if anyone else has seen.

After the car reaches 5 mph, starting from a stand still, the car beeps and shows “MPH +5” on the instrument cluster info area. Why does this happen, and how can it be disabled?

It gets quite annoying driving off after a traffic light 😌

Idk how you set it on a non nav car, but with the Oe nav you can set a cluster warning to go off at a speed of your choosing. Sounds like one of the Avin apps activated that, at 5mph. I’d dig around in the ibus app, etc.

Ha! Interesting. Looked around and couldn’t find a relevant settings except for a memo item.

I just installed mine yesterday and had this issue as well.

I noticed if you go into the "Contorl settings" app that the speed limit was set to 6mph and you can "adjust"(granted not the best response). I put mine to 80 and it was gone. And yes, I did have to press the right arrow that many times🤦♂️

Ouch! Given my driving style I may need to tap the button more than 100 times !!!
