Can the TCK DA Rear shock be adjusted while it’s mounted on the car (car on the ground) or does it need to be removed (or that corner lifted off the ground) for rebound adjustment?

It appears that the issue is height, my car is too low and rebound wouldn’t do much. I need to raise the car 1/2”.
edit: I don’t want to deviate too much from a 500lb spring, if this doesn’t work, I’ll probably go a stiffer spring route.

500lb linear spring is pretty soft fyi. Even stock tops out at almost 700lbs (progressive 345lb-685lb).DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram
