    Oil Consumption

I know this topic has been brought up in various forums but the responses are consistently all over the place so my hope here is we can start zeroing in on some type of consensus. How much oil do your engines consume? The poll doesn't control for driving style which is a real difficult variable to quantify but if you could comment that as well I think it may give some insights to the survey data. Also maybe brand of oil and motor mileage would be beneficial to note.

As for me, my typical driving results in at least 1 yellow light per 5k miles. I would describe it as mostly driving with occasional redlines pulls to 1st and 2nd. New pcv and cpv, valve cover, Vanos gaskets, and both chain tensioners are dry. 177k motor- castrol tws

Zero consumption. Only 100k kms and not driven particularly hard though. Oil level simply doesn't change over a complete oil change interval. Using Castrol 10W-60 supercar currently.

No consumption on my nearly 210,000 mile S54 in the wagon or heavily tracked 160,000 mile S54 in my coupe.
