Can someone who knows the in and outs of suspensions explain why the B14 doesn't work on our cars even though when looking at the B16 it looks identical. The only difference I'm able to identify is that the B16 has adjustable dampening.

I believe this is the difference.
The M3 strut mounts do not fit the E46 struts.
The E46 struts can be machined to adapt to the E46 M3 strut mounts.Comment
