    Status Gruppe SCZA fitment

Hey guys, Im about to pull the trigger on a SG Scza for my car. I know I'm taking a chance here but I've already confirmed with them that they have about 11 in stock atm. I really want the 76mm double-wall stainless tips. Will 76mm be big enough to fit through a SG csl style diffuser? I want them to come out just a tad and I hope theres enough room for adjustments.

Forgive me in advance, Im not sure of the difference in how these are measured.

    Thanks

I have the same muffler with the same tips (polished, looks great imo), I also have one of the "happybuyitnow" ebay csl style diffusers and there is plenty of room for adjustment on the tips provided you clock them just so.

Unfortunately when I received my muffler the tips had the same inner diameter as the muffler pipe itself so I had a muffler shop swage out the tips. I'm not sure how far the tips would have stuck out normally but mine stick out a tad further than the stock tips.

I hope yours aligns O.K, I had to stack 7 washers (~1\2") between the vehicle and the OE muffler mount on the passenger side to get the muffler to sit level. I Finally bought a R.E muffler mount for the passenger side #1 so the muffler would stop banging into the EVAP canister plastic surround and #2 so I could ditch the washers as the R.E mounts come with real shims and have back/forth adjustments.

I also had it raise the point at which the Sec. 2>3 connection is made necessitating the removal of the Sec. 2 heatsheild as it was making contact with the diff. OPF.

Other than the fitment issues and a shitty long wait with terrible customer service I do like the muffler!

I don't have any great close up pics but the happybuyitnow guy used photos of my car on the website so you can get a better look.

EDIT: I want to say I had 82mm tips, but I don't see them listed as an option, in any event they are the double-walled polished stainless.

Cubieman Thank you for your in depth review of the exhaust. I checked out the link and your diffuser fits better than my SG one haha! I’m very familiar with shims as i had to use shims on my billy boat b&b exhaust once I modified the tips. I don’t remember how many shims were used, but it was quite a few. Maybe it’s time for me to invest in the rogue muffler mounts as well?

I love the billy boat but I want something less boomy. Plus I’ve had it on my car since 2006 and it’s definitely time for a change.

      Thanks again bro.
