Singer style treatment coming to a BMW

I posted this in e46fanatics but thought would post here (timestamped). Jonathan Ward from Icon says he is almost $750,000 in so far. Wow.

Hey I started the thread in the old m3forum. This is awesome. I hope they are talking about the E46.

I couldn't remember who made that thread Jersey. Was a good thread. Obioban bet on a original CSL and I think he might be right but it would be glorious if it was an e46 m3. Joe raves about his e46 m3 a little later in the conversation as well.

Man this would be sick! I wish I saved that old thread. There was some good information going on there about what people think a "Singer Style" would look like

Will be sick whatever it is if he's going to be $1mil in R&D when done
            Youtube DIYs and more

All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

I remember having emailing Chris Harris when they were doing Driver's Republic and asking back then if he ever considered something along the lines of a Singer type build. I didn't mention Singer but what I was asking was about a stroked 3.4/3/5 liter car that could produce around 400-450hp, lightened to around 3000lbs with upgrades to suspension etc. I even called Chris Fletcher (Fletcher Made Horsepower) and remember him quoting me something in the region of $18k to build such a motor. At that point, I decided to go with option 2 as a daily driver, which was a Saab 9-2X Aero tuned to 320 whp that's a blast to drive for the grand sum of $13k. What is suggested would be a great poor man's Singer for sure......and I use the word "poor" judiciously.
