    Ant infestation on my M3

Recently bought a new house and park the m3 outside under an oem car cover

noticed last week that there were some small ants and didn’t think anything of it. Today i took the cover off and there were ants all over the a-pillar outside, in my door jams, door sills, and in the trunk jams.

started to freak out a bit and bought some raid and sprayed every crevice i saw them coming out of. Washed the car cover too. Car has no food inside other than a gel based air freshener. Wondering if that attracted them to the car. There was also a bush next to the car where it was parked that they likely came from

any tips on ridding them completely? Neighbor said that it’s always been a problem in their yard too so I’m sure they’ll return

Scent things can be the cause. Stay away from using those.

Terro liquid ant bait worked well on a friend's roadster where the ants made a nest near it. They were drawn to the liquid and then took it back to the nest. The sprays don't seem to do much to get rid of them at the source.

              1) what he^ said on the liquid ant bait. Lay a few lines of it.
              2) looks like a nice stamped concrete driveway? Any cracks where the ants could come up or are you close to grass?

Another vote for Terro liquid. Don't bother spraying.
As long as they didn't set up a nest in your car, the traps should be good.

When we lived in Tampa area I had some try to move their eggs into mine for a new nest. I parked at my son's daycare to pick him up and in the span of 10 minutes they had made their move! FL ants are pretty aggressive. The place I parked was at the edge of the pavement by some longer bushes. I nuked them with Raid and made sure not to park by the edges again.

If hey are coming from your yard jus treat your whole yard. Much easier in the long run.

I was just talking to my father about this and when he used to live in zepherhilles he had the same issue but in his house. I guess it’s the climate they like to come out in.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the car today and not a trace anywhere. I bought some terro traps and will put them throughout the car if i see them come back. I also moved the car to the adjacent side of the driveway away from the culprit bush

It’s either the cracks or the bush you see in the pic. We just had the driveway paved so I’m doubting they are coming from underneath the pavers
